Account Manager – Northern Germany (Hospital & Lab)

About the role

Our client, a leading global life‑sciences and diagnostics organisation, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to lead a key territory in Northern Germany. The role combines management of an established customer base with the pursuit of new business opportunities within hospitals and laboratories.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow existing accounts across hospitals and laboratories in the assigned region.
• Identify, develop and close new business opportunities.
• Own the full sales cycle, including pipeline management, forecasting and contract negotiations.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers such as pathologists and laboratory managers.
• Develop and execute territory and account plans to drive revenue growth.
• Deliver solution‑based, consultative sales in complex clinical environments.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs.
• Represent the organisation at customer meetings, industry events and conferences.

Required profile

• Several years of account management or sales experience in life sciences, medical devices, diagnostics or a related sector.
• Proven track record in complex, solution‑based sales with long sales cycles.
• Experience selling into hospitals, laboratories or clinical environments is strongly preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen, results‑driven mindset and ability to manage both new business development and existing accounts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage pipelines and territories independently.
• Confident, proactive, autonomous and resilient with a focus on achieving targets.
• Based within reasonable commuting distance to Hamburg and willing to travel across the territory.
• Good level of German and good level of English.
