Addiction Nurse – Mental Health (Glasgow)

About the role

The Addiction Nurse will deliver specialist addiction care and treatment to individuals in the North East sector of Glasgow. Working within the Alcohol & Drug Recovery Service, the post holder will manage a community caseload and help shape the future of the addiction nursing role.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist addiction assessment, care and treatment to service users in the defined geographical area.
• Manage a community caseload, ensuring continuity of care and appropriate follow‑up.
• Promote and develop the role of the Addiction Nurse within the multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with other health professionals to deliver integrated care.

Required profile

• Registered mental health nurse (NMC registration required).
• Highly motivated with a commitment to delivering high‑quality care.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
