Area Manager – Fashion & Footwear Retail (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands)

About the role

The company is a leading international fashion and footwear retailer seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of stores across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. You will drive commercial performance, develop high‑performing store teams and ensure brand standards are consistently applied.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of sales, profit, conversion and other retail KPIs for a multi‑store portfolio.
• Analyse sales reports and market trends to identify growth opportunities and implement action plans.
• Coach and develop Store Managers, fostering high‑performing teams.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and visual merchandising standards across all locations.
• Lead talent development, succession planning and recruitment within the area.
• Conduct regular store visits, performance reviews and business planning meetings.
• Maintain operational compliance, including health & safety, cash management and loss prevention.

Required profile

• Proven track record in fashion, footwear or premium retail environments.
• Experience managing multiple stores across different locations.
• Strong commercial acumen with data‑driven decision‑making.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and people development abilities.
• Passion for fashion and footwear and understanding of customer expectations.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the region.
