Card Scheme Manager (Issuing) – Relocation to Cyprus

About the role

As a Card Scheme Manager (Issuing) you will build and lead the company’s card‑issuing capabilities from the ground up. Based in Limassol, Cyprus, you will be the primary liaison with Visa, Mastercard and other schemes, ensuring compliance and delivering new card products. The role is highly autonomous and project‑driven, working closely with product, technology, operations and risk teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day relationships with card schemes (Visa, Mastercard), monitor rule changes and ensure full compliance.
• Lead scheme certifications, audits, reporting obligations and ongoing compliance activities.
• Oversee BIN sponsorship applications, certifications, implementation and lifecycle maintenance.
• Coordinate with card processors, technology vendors and personalization partners during programme launches, system upgrades and maintenance.
• Monitor vendor performance, SLAs and service quality, handling escalations and supporting commercial negotiations.
• Lead card‑issuing projects from initiation to delivery, coordinating new product launches, BIN implementations and system integrations.
• Act as super‑user for card processing platforms and card management system interfaces, supporting configuration, product setup and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in card‑issuing or payments ecosystem with strong knowledge of scheme rules.
• Hands‑on, self‑motivated professional comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and complex projects.
• Ability to work closely with product, technology, operations and risk teams to deliver compliant solutions.
