Clinician – Clinical Centre of Excellence (f/m/d)

About the role

Join TÜV SÜD as a Clinician in the Clinical Centre of Excellence, supporting the assessment of medical devices under the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR). You will work with an international team of clinicians, providing expert clinical input for technical documentation and audits.

Key responsibilities

• Assess clinical evaluations within technical documentation according to MDR requirements.
• Prepare deficiency reports for any non‑conformities identified.
• Act as the internal point of contact for clinical matters, collaborating with other departments.
• Deliver reliable services within defined timeframes.
• Optionally support audits of medical‑device manufacturers as a clinical expert, remotely or on‑site.
• Optionally continue part‑time clinical practice.

Required profile

• Physician with a completed medical degree (current licence not mandatory).
• Minimum four years of clinical practice, preferably in cardiac surgery.
• At least two years of experience with medical‑device usage, development, testing, or clinical evaluation.
• Familiarity with MDR and regulatory aspects of medical devices; medical‑writing experience is a plus.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are advantageous.
• Interest in intercultural cooperation within an international team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Ability to conduct scientific literature searches and peer‑review processes.
