Data Center Technician – Operations & Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Data Center Technician to join our client’s operations team in Germany. You will ensure the reliability and efficiency of critical data‑center infrastructure, supporting servers, networking gear, power and cooling systems around the clock.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain servers, network equipment, power distribution and cooling systems.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and hardware troubleshooting.
• Respond promptly to alerts and incidents, documenting actions taken.
• Coordinate hardware installations and repairs with internal and external teams.
• Ensure compliance with operational and security policies.
• Maintain detailed records of incidents, maintenance activities and system changes.

Required profile

• First experience in a technical environment such as hardware, infrastructure or support engineering.
• Hands‑on experience in a data‑center or IT‑infrastructure setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of hardware, networking and cabling standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team under time pressure.
• Willingness to work rotating day/night/weekend shifts.
• Good English communication skills; German is a plus.
• Valid work permit for employment in Germany.
