Data Engineer – TV Data & Advertising

About the role

Join the Data Engineering team at smartclip and help process, transform, and refine terabytes of TV and advertising data every day. You will design and build scalable pipelines that power our TV and forecasting products while working in a remote‑first environment with occasional on‑site collaboration in Berlin.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance data pipelines for TV and ad‑tech products.
• Ensure pipelines are fast, clean, and reliable from ETL through testing and deployment.
• Automate testing, CI/CD, and other repetitive tasks to increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers and product teams to solve complex data challenges.
• Explore and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and technologies.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering.
• Comfortable working with large‑scale data sets (terabytes) and turning raw data into actionable insights.
• Proactive, ownership‑driven mindset with a "let’s figure it out" attitude.
• Ability to work independently and deliver pragmatic solutions.
