Design Coordinator Construction

About the role

As a Design Coordinator Construction you will oversee all design‑related activities for construction projects, guiding them from concept through execution. You act as the central link between architects, specialist planners, engineers and the construction site, ensuring compliance with German regulations and company quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Control and coordinate design and planning phases from concept to execution.
• Manage interfaces between architecture, MEP/TGA, structural engineering and construction teams.
• Ensure adherence to German building laws (BauGB, HOAI, VOB, AHO) and technical standards.
• Conduct schedule and milestone management for planning stages.
• Drive cost, schedule and quality optimisation through value engineering and life‑cycle cost analysis.
• Integrate building services engineering and automation planning with a focus on sustainability.
• Support approval processes, liaise with authorities and maintain transparent stakeholder communication.
• Maintain data quality in project documentation systems and assist with contract and change‑order administration.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in design coordination, technical project control or construction project management.
• Strong understanding of interdisciplinary planning and construction processes.
• In‑depth knowledge of German construction law, HOAI, VOB and AHO.
• Proven expertise in MEP/TGA coordination and value engineering.
• Excellent German (C1 minimum) and solid English communication skills.
