Director, Fintech Business Development German Speaking Europe

About the role

The Director, Fintech Business Development (German Speaking Europe) will lead Mastercard's partnership portfolio with fintech and platform players across Central Europe. The role focuses on designing digital payment solutions, building business cases, negotiating with customers and overseeing implementation to meet local market needs.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and progress with clients by managing account P&L, defining strategies, setting goals and executing in close collaboration with Central European divisional leadership.
• Drive solution design, sales and product delivery in a fast‑changing, highly competitive environment.
• Develop and support country‑wide go‑to‑market plans, including product positioning, key benefits and target customers for digital solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with fintech and platform partners, manage the business development pipeline and coordinate internal stakeholders to design and implement customer solutions.
• Lead the design, launch and management of product positioning, working with technical solution architects and product managers to align roadmaps with market needs.

Required profile

• Strong business acumen and sales‑driven mindset.
• Deep understanding of the Central European payments market and fintech ecosystem.
• Proven ability to design, negotiate and deliver digital payment solutions.
• Self‑starter with excellent relationship‑building skills and a technological mindset.
