Director of Operational Excellence (Remote)

About the role

Trilogy is seeking a Director of Operational Excellence to lead M&A diligence, integration, and P&L management for its portfolio of distressed enterprise software businesses. This remote position operates at the intersection of finance, operations, and emerging AI automation tools, delivering high‑impact results across multiple organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end M&A due diligence, coordinate with investment banks, structure virtual data rooms, and oversee closing checklists.
• Control quarterly P&L budgets for multi‑product business units, identify margin‑enhancement opportunities, and present cost‑reduction strategies to CEOs and CFOs.
• Develop and deploy AI automations using cutting‑edge tools to evaluate vendor spend, automate decision workflows, and generate executive‑ready reports.
• Oversee the full vendor lifecycle for 70+ contracts, including negotiation, legal review, procurement, invoicing, and termination.
• Serve as the central integration point for portfolio operations, coordinating across finance, legal, engineering, SaaS, HR, and IT functions as well as external deal‑side collaborators.

Required profile

• Proven experience executing M&A diligence and integration for enterprise software or similar high‑growth businesses.
• Strong financial acumen with a track record of managing P&L, budgets, and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Ability to work independently, make data‑driven decisions, and drive stakeholders to action without direct reports.
• Comfort operating in a fast‑paced environment with weekly acquisitions and multiple simultaneous projects.
