About the role

Mercor is seeking a Finance Expert to work remotely on a part‑time, task‑based contract. You will evaluate AI‑generated outputs that support investment‑banking workflows, ensuring accuracy and relevance for financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess AI‑generated financial models, valuation methods, pitch decks, and deal structures.
• Create realistic investment‑banking scenarios such as deal screening, due diligence, and syndication.
• Annotate, label, and validate data related to financial statement analysis and capital‑structure optimization.
• Provide structured feedback on AI performance concerning SEC regulations, deal documentation, and financial terminology.
• Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to refine evaluation frameworks for financial‑services AI.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience at a bulge‑bracket, elite boutique, middle‑market, or regional investment bank.
• Background in M&A advisory, equity or debt capital markets, leveraged finance, or restructuring.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate deal workflows into structured evaluation tasks.
• Clear written communication and meticulous attention to detail.
