About the role

This is a project‑based freelance opportunity to design and develop material engineering problems for AI testing and evaluation. You will create computationally intensive tasks that require Python programming and numerical methods, supporting leading tech companies in improving AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design original material engineering problems that simulate real‑world workflows.
• Create problem statements that require Python code for calculations, simulations, and iterative solutions.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive, involving numerical methods, optimization, and system analysis.
• Base tasks on real research challenges or practical engineering applications.
• Verify solutions using Python and standard engineering libraries.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Material Science or a related engineering field.
• Proficiency in Python for numerical validation.
• 2+ years of professional experience (research, applied engineering, or teaching).
• Understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).
