Full‑Stack Software Engineer (Web Development)

About the role

VisionSpace is looking for a Full‑Stack Software Engineer to design, prototype and develop web‑based tools for the MCAT Frame Contract – Service Area B (OPTS). The position works closely with technical officers and end‑users at EUMETSAT in a mission‑critical, operational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement both back‑end and front‑end web applications.
• Prototype user‑driven solutions and integrate them into existing systems.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs (e.g., FastAPI) to enable system interoperability.
• Support DevOps activities, including CI/CD pipeline setup and automation.
• Collaborate with technical officers and internal users to gather requirements and translate them into maintainable software.

Required profile

• University degree (BSc/MSc) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Strong experience in full‑stack web development.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with stakeholders.
• Fluent English (minimum C1); additional European languages are a plus.
• Valid EU work permit or EU citizenship and willingness to work onsite within 60 km of the duty location.
