Head of Finance – Lead Financial Transformation

About the role

EIT RawMaterials is transitioning from a publicly financed organisation to a business‑driven entity delivering high‑value services and financing for the European raw materials sector. The Head of Finance will steer this transformation, shaping financial strategies that support diversified income streams such as membership fees, project funding, co‑investments and public‑private sources.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement long‑term financial strategies aligned with the organisation’s transformation goals.
• Lead financial planning, forecasting and budgeting across all legal entities (Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Poland, Sweden).
• Advise senior leadership and the Board on performance, risks and strategic opportunities.
• Define and monitor KPIs, e.g., non‑EIT income share, cost‑saving targets and ROI benchmarks.
• Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and present insights to management.
• Review and redesign processes to support service delivery and investment activities.
• Expand ERP and Business Intelligence usage, overseeing systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.

Required profile

• Strategic, hands‑on leader with deep expertise in financial planning, risk management and compliance.
• Experience managing finance across multiple European legal entities.
• Proven ability to work with senior executives and boards.
