Inbound Team Leader – Dangerous Goods Warehouse

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Inbound Team Leader to manage dangerous‑goods warehouse operations in Duisburg, Germany. You will lead a team responsible for the safe receipt, handling, and storage of hazardous materials while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train and supervise a team of warehouse operatives, providing performance feedback.
• Oversee inbound logistics activities including receiving, unloading, inspecting and documenting dangerous goods.
• Ensure strict compliance with ADR, IMDG, IATA and German regulations.
• Implement and maintain safety procedures to prevent incidents.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimise storage utilisation.
• Identify and drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections for regulatory and company compliance.
• Manage equipment and resource allocation within the inbound team.
• Communicate with suppliers, carriers and internal departments.
• Prepare and present performance reports to management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, preferably with dangerous goods.
• In‑depth knowledge of German and international regulations for hazardous material handling.
• Relevant dangerous‑goods certifications (e.g., DGSA or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English; Mandarin is a plus.
• Forklift licence and experience with material‑handling equipment.
