Junior Accountant – Finance Operations (Germany)

About the role

Join our international finance team as a Junior Accountant supporting the financial operations of our German entities. You will work closely with tax advisors and local accounting managers to ensure accurate bookkeeping, compliance, and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and accruals.
• Post and reconcile bank transactions and company debit cards.
• Collaborate with tax advisors on corporate income tax (CIT) and VAT filings.
• Assist local Accounting Managers with intercompany balance reconciliation.
• Manage cost approval for incoming invoices and issue intercompany invoices according to transfer‑pricing policy.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close under German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.
• Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to automation and digitalisation initiatives.
• Participate in finance projects assigned by the Head of Finance.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of accounting principles such as IFRS and German GAAP (HGB).
• Familiarity with local tax regulations, especially VAT and CIT.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset and high ethical standards.
• Proactive, organized and comfortable working in a hybrid environment.
• Passion for sustainability and the climate‑change mission.
