Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst (Frankfurt)

About the role

We are partnering with a market‑leading insurance underwriter in Frankfurt to hire a recent graduate as a Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst. The role offers exposure to high‑profile M&A insurance transactions and the chance to work alongside seasoned underwriting professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Support M&A insurance transactions by coordinating deal processes and preparing key documentation such as closing checklists, certificates and memoranda.
• Review transaction documentation and assess legal and commercial risks.
• Conduct due diligence by collecting, organising and analysing corporate documents, contracts, financial information and other materials related to target companies.
• Assist with the preparation and review of ancillary documents including NDAs, consents, officer certificates and closing deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with underwriters, brokers, advisors and clients throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Contribute to the evaluation of transaction risks and support underwriting decisions.
• Manage multiple live transactions simultaneously in a fast‑paced, deal‑driven environment.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (2024‑2026) in Law, Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Internship experience in M&A, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Deal Advisory or a similar transactional environment.
• Strong understanding of M&A transactions, due diligence processes and deal execution.
• Excellent analytical ability to review and interpret complex information.
