Senior AI Scientist – Agentic AI (Vendor Data Team)

About the role

Delivery Hero is seeking a hands‑on Senior AI Scientist to join the Vendor Data Team. You will drive the creation of autonomous AI agents that generate prompts, interact with real‑world tools, and validate outputs, turning research into production‑ready features that empower thousands of local businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy agent‑based systems using LangGraph, PydanticAI, LangChain, Google ADK, Claude SDK, or custom orchestration frameworks.
• Build and optimise Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including smart chunking, embedding strategies and vector search.
• Design self‑evolving prompt systems and dynamic decision flows powered by large language models.
• Develop APIs and services that enable models to interact with tools, data sources, and external systems.
• Monitor, evaluate and automate model feedback loops through AI‑based simulation and testing agents.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product and engineering teams to ship AI‑native features at scale.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of applied AI/ML engineering experience with real‑world deployments.
• Strong ownership mindset; proactive problem‑solving when faced with unclear or blocked tasks.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex or Haystack.
• Deep knowledge of RAG, LLM mechanics, prompt design and chaining.
• Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate or FAISS and embedding models.
