Site Manager – Production Center

About the role

Join AUTO1 Group as the Site Manager of our new Production Center in Illingen. You will oversee the reconditioning of pre‑owned vehicles, ensuring high‑quality repairs and efficient preparation for sale on the Autohero platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a production centre of more than 70 employees, applying lean and professional management principles.
• Plan and run day‑to‑day operations to achieve best‑in‑class car quality, output optimisation and cost efficiency.
• Scale production capacity from scratch to maximum levels to support rapid growth.
• Build, manage and improve relationships with local partners and the logistics network.
• Align targets and resources with the Berlin headquarters, implement processes on site and develop strong teams through onboarding and training.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and performance‑enhancing measures across all teams.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in the automotive industry or a production/manufacturing environment.
• University degree in business, supply‑chain management or a related field.
• Proven team‑management skills, leading at least 30 direct or indirect reports.
• Experience scaling fast‑growing operations or leading ramp‑up projects (advantageous).
• Track record of process optimisation and efficiency gains in production, logistics or shop‑floor settings.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English.
