Software Engineer – Military Communication Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to develop and document application software for military communication systems, hardened hardware platforms, and monitoring/testing solutions. The role involves analysing requirements, reviewing system architecture, and ensuring successful integration and commissioning both on‑site and in‑house.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and document application software for defence‑related communication and testing systems.
• Conduct requirements analysis and perform system architecture reviews.
• Execute integration, testing and commissioning activities on‑site and in‑house.
• Plan tasks, estimate time and effort, and track progress.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Fluent written and spoken German.
• Independent, systematic work ethic with creativity and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Application development with C++, C# or Python.
• Proficiency with collaboration platforms, version‑control systems and development environments.
• Experience in UI design, networked systems, Linux development, Linux platform integration or information security (a plus).
