System Administrator (m/f/d) – Münster, NRW

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on System Administrator to keep our IT infrastructure running smoothly and to support future growth. You will be the go‑to person for day‑to‑day operations, user support, and strategic IT initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain servers, client devices, networks and cloud services through proactive monitoring and regular maintenance.
• Provide user support, manage patches, troubleshoot incidents and perform error analysis.
• Plan and lead rollouts of new systems, applications and services, including resource planning, risk assessment, go‑live and hyper‑care phases.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align technology with business needs.
• Contribute to the development and execution of the overall IT strategy.

Required profile

• Solid experience with macOS, Windows 11 and Linux server administration.
• Comfortable with virtualization and container platforms such as Proxmox, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of core networking concepts (routers, switches, VPN).
• Experience with identity, device and access management solutions like JumpCloud.
• Hands‑on automation experience using Python, Shell/Bash, JavaScript, Ansible or Jenkins.
• Bonus: familiarity with Google Cloud or Google Workspace.
• Analytical, methodical, agile‑oriented and curious about emerging technologies.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
