System Engineering Trainee – 2‑Year International Program

About the role

Valeo is offering a two‑year Young Talent Accelerator Program for recent graduates interested in automotive system engineering. As a System Engineering Trainee you will rotate through four six‑month assignments, gaining hands‑on experience in automated driving, electrification and R&D project management across Bietigheim and international sites.

Key responsibilities

• Complete four 6‑month assignments covering interdisciplinary automotive projects.
• Participate in job rotations within Bietigheim and at international locations such as Prague and Tuam (Ireland).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on system engineering tasks for automated driving and electrification.
• Contribute to project documentation, testing and validation activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree from a technical university (graduated within the last 2 years).
• Valid work permit for Germany.
• Short experience abroad (study or work) and/or brief work experience during/after studies.
• Above‑average academic results.
