Technical Project Manager – Event Production

About the role

WHITEvoid is looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead complex event‑production projects from concept to execution. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, clients and external partners to turn ambitious artistic ideas into safe, technically sound installations.

Key responsibilities

• Support projects through planning, implementation and execution, coordinating internal and external technical trades.
• Create and review technical drawings using Vectorworks and CAD as the planning basis.
• Plan and coordinate power and data distribution systems.
• Develop rigging concepts, including trussing, motors and chain hoists.
• Advise stakeholders on technical possibilities and ensure clear documentation of specifications and timelines.
• Maintain compliance with internal and statutory safety regulations and resolve technical challenges throughout all project phases.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in event production, technical planning or project management.
• Qualification as a Master of Event Technology or a comparable degree.
• Strong organizational, documentation and problem‑solving skills.
• Very good English (German is a plus) and willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• Vectorworks and CAD tools.
• Power and data distribution systems.
• Rigging, trussing and motorized systems (e.g., chain hoists).
• Lighting control systems such as GrandMA.
• Basic audio knowledge.
• Experience with integrated fixture technologies and networked lighting.
• Familiarity with safety regulations (e.g., BGV C1, VStättVO) – a plus.
