About the role

Amazon’s Operations team in Gera is looking for an Area Manager to lead a logistics shift. You will ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality order fulfilment while meeting customer demand.

Key responsibilities

• Create, oversee, and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing.
• Analyse and implement changes to maintain high quality and productivity.
• Lead projects that streamline processes and improve service quality.
• Analyse shift performance against business objectives and act to improve operational excellence.
• Collaborate with senior managers to standardise shift practices.
• Mentor new managers and act as a role model for the team.

• Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Analytical mindset with experience analysing performance data.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional partners.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects and drive implementation.
