Core Ledger Specialist – Financial Systems Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Core Ledger Specialist to join our platform team in Hamburg. You will act as the bridge between business users and external suppliers, ensuring that our core ledger systems meet financial and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Define and document detailed requirements for transaction processing, balance management, and posting logic.
• Verify and regression‑test supplier deliveries to guarantee data integrity and consistency.
• Collaborate with the Head of Core Ledger IT, suppliers, and product managers on solution design and technical decisions.
• Investigate and resolve complex ledger‑related incidents and data discrepancies.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including requirements, data flows, test results, and runbooks.
• Provide hands‑on support to internal teams (finance, customer service, operations) for day‑to‑day ledger queries.
• Support the integration of new products and financial instruments into the ledger framework.
• Work closely with QA and the Delivery Manager to ensure thorough testing before approval.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience with financial or transactional systems in a requirements, analysis, or configuration role.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, financial transaction processing, or core banking concepts.
• Proven ability to write clear, detailed requirements and acceptance criteria for externally delivered solutions.
• Experience working in regulated financial environments (banking, payments, BNPL) is a plus.
