Full Stack Developer – Java, Spring Boot & React

About the role

LawX, an AI‑powered legal‑tech company in Berlin, is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join its fast‑moving engineering team. You will own features from data model and API to the user interface used by notaries, turning complex legal workflows into intuitive software.

Key responsibilities

• Design and ship product features across the full stack, from database to UI.
• Build robust backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Create clean, responsive, and accessible front‑ends with React and TypeScript.
• Model data and write efficient PostgreSQL queries.
• Collaborate with product, AI, and legal experts to translate real workflows into software.
• Participate in code reviews, testing standards, and architecture decisions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience delivering production web applications end‑to‑end.
• Strong backend expertise in Java (Spring Boot) and API design.
• Proficient frontend skills with React and TypeScript.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL data modeling and query optimisation.
• Understanding of REST API design, distributed‑system fundamentals and security (OAuth2/OIDC, Azure AD).
• Experience with CI/CD, testing and high‑quality code standards.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
