German as a Foreign Language Teacher for In‑person Classes in Berlin

About the role

EF Sprachschule in Berlin is looking for qualified German as a Foreign Language (DaF) teachers to deliver in‑person classes to a diverse student body aged 16‑25. The position can be part‑time or full‑time, with teaching loads ranging from 20 to 40 units per week, starting as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging German language lessons for beginners to advanced learners.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback.
• Maintain a supportive classroom environment for students from up to 50 different countries.
• Collaborate with academic management on curriculum development and student support.

Required profile

• Completed philological degree with a DaF qualification.
• German language proficiency at C2 level and good English skills.
• Teaching experience – either first‑time or extensive.
• Students still completing their degree may also apply, with opportunities for observation or assistant roles.
