Junior Controller – Transfer Pricing (Hybrid)

About the role

As a Junior Controller in the Intercompany Transfer Pricing team, you will support BASF’s global business services by ensuring transfer prices are accurate, compliant and aligned with legal, tax and internal guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate, monitor and adjust intercompany transfer prices.
• Analyse financial statements and compute entity‑level margins.
• Handle ad‑hoc requests and perform regular quality‑assurance reviews.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Controlling as a first‑level escalation point.
• Drive continuous improvement, optimisation and automation of transfer‑pricing processes.
• Support the Global Tax Department during audits and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics or a related field with a focus on Accounting/Finance or Controlling.
• Background in tax‑related topics; first professional experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, including profit‑and‑loss accounts and financial KPIs.
• Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to learn new technology applications such as VBA, Power BI or UiPath.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (MS Office).
• Basic experience with SAP R/3 or SAP S/4HANA and Business Warehouse.
• Familiarity with VBA, Power BI or UiPath is welcome.
