News Lead – TikTok Content Operations (Berlin)

About the role

The News Lead will head TikTok's News team in Germany, guiding creators, journalists, broadcasters and publishers to maximise their impact on the platform. You will drive growth of the News vertical by shaping short‑form video strategy, optimising content performance and supporting key initiatives aligned with product priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Own OKR responsibility for the News strategy, including creator growth, monetisation, perception, publisher growth and offline activations.
• Manage a team of creator managers, publisher managers and program managers to deliver against targets.
• Set quarterly operational goals and achieve results against OKR targets.
• Identify high‑potential creators, onboard them to management programs and design growth initiatives to increase high‑quality content supply.
• Manage relationships with high‑impact News publishers, grow content supply and negotiate partnership agreements.
• Lead local content and operations strategy, aligning with product teams and translating global initiatives into local activations.
• Analyse the local News ecosystem, spot market trends and drive high‑quality content growth.
• Represent creator and publisher feedback to internal teams and advocate for market‑specific needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading cross‑functional teams in media, news or digital publishing.
• Deep understanding of the German News content ecosystem and market dynamics.
• Strong data‑driven mindset with ability to set and track measurable objectives.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of negotiating with publishers and influencing product teams.
• Ability to translate global strategies into localized actions that drive creator and publisher adoption.
