Senior Backend Software Engineer

About the role

Codesphere is a virtual cloud provider building sovereign cloud infrastructure. As a Senior Backend Software Engineer you will help shape the platform’s core services and deliver high‑impact features for enterprise and government customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own complex features end‑to‑end, from discovery and design through implementation, testing and maintenance.
• Conduct code and technical design reviews, raising quality standards across the team.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and growth.
• Shape platform capabilities such as deployment technology, managed services, authentication, and developer experience.

Required profile

• Several years of professional software development experience, preferably in web or distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Go.
• Solid understanding of SQL databases, distributed systems, API and micro‑service design, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Degree in a relevant field or comparable qualification.
• Professional fluency in English and strong communication skills.
• Openness to feedback, a collaborative mindset and a structured problem‑solving approach.

Required skills

• Experience building or operating cloud‑infrastructure components (e.g., message queues, SQL/NoSQL databases) in a cloud‑native environment.
• Familiarity with React.
• Experience with monitoring and logging systems.
• Hands‑on DevSecOps mindset.
