Senior Internal Audit Specialist

About the role

Bitpanda is building a dedicated internal audit function for the DACH region. As a Senior Internal Audit Specialist you will help transition outsourced audits to an in‑house model, ensuring they meet the company’s high standards for quality, safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of an audit strategy for the Group, focusing on process optimisation in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
• Implement audit initiatives across the DACH region, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to achieve audit objectives.
• Work with first and second lines of defence to refine audit approaches, identify risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Provide audit insights during product development to enhance security and regulatory compliance.
• Occasionally travel to sites or partner locations as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Business Administration or a comparable field.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or actively pursuing the certification.
• 3‑5 years of professional audit experience, preferably in the financial industry.
• Strong understanding of EU regulatory frameworks such as MiCAR, MiFID II, PSD2, AML, GDPR.
• Fluent in German and English.
