Senior Software Engineer (Infrastructure)

About the role

Motion is looking for a senior software engineer who thrives at the intersection of product code and infrastructure. You will help build and maintain data‑intensive APIs that power per‑customer AI environments, running on Azure VMs and Dockerized workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement application code that controls infrastructure primitives such as messaging queues, VM lifecycle, container updates, and no‑downtime migrations.
• Develop and maintain bootstrapping, permission, observability, and security layers for the platform.
• Collaborate with product teams to ship reliable, scalable systems that meet customer expectations.
• Work with Azure, Docker, and Linux environments to ensure high‑performance, secure deployments.

Required profile

• Senior‑level software engineer with a strong product mindset.
• Deep comfort with Linux, containers, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to translate complex runtime behavior into routine, user‑friendly features.
