Software Development Engineer – Computer Vision

About the role

The AFT Quality team builds high‑performance, real‑time systems that enable intelligent machines to work alongside humans in Amazon fulfillment centers. As a Software Development Engineer you will design, develop, and deploy end‑to‑end computer‑vision solutions that improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in concept, design, prototyping, and production phases of new computer‑vision systems.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and operations stakeholders to implement and optimise solutions.
• Maintain and improve core infrastructure, tools, and services that support machine‑learning scientists and engineers.
• Contribute to design and architecture reviews and promote best practices across the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience designing, architecting, and delivering complex software systems.
• Strong communication skills in English for interaction with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience working in a Linux development environment with multithreading and concurrency.
