Software Development Engineer, Fire TV

About the role

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join Amazon’s Fire TV team in Berlin. You will work on core components of Fire TV devices, helping customers set up, interact with and control their devices across TVs, sticks, cubes and more.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in Agile development, owning the scope and domain of assigned features.
• Design, implement and deliver new functionality on the multi‑platform Fire TV codebase.
• Contribute to end‑to‑end implementation of onboarding and settings features for customers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in Berlin and with partners in Seattle on roadmap and UX.

Required profile

• Professional experience in software development (non‑internship).
• Experience designing or architecting systems, including design patterns, reliability and scaling.
• Ability to work with at least one programming language and follow the full software development life‑cycle.

Required skills

• Proficiency in a software programming language.
• Familiarity with source‑control, code reviews, build processes and testing.
