Software Engineer – Industrial Automation

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our innovative engineering team focused on building automation and industrial IoT solutions. The role involves developing and maintaining applications using JavaScript and Node-RED, integrating field devices via industrial communication protocols, and delivering reliable software for real-world industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using JavaScript and Node-RED.
• Integrate field devices, PLCs, sensors, and actuators using Modbus TCP/RTU and other industrial protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to design, test, and deploy automation solutions.
• Support the implementation of intelligent automation that connects equipment, sensors, and management systems.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of the development process.

Required profile

• Experience in software development, preferably in industrial or automation environments.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and Node-RED.
• Familiarity with Modbus TCP and/or Modbus RTU and other industrial communication protocols.
• Ability to integrate PLCs, sensors, actuators, and other automation devices.
• Structured, solution-oriented working style with good English communication skills (German a plus).
