Working Student – Automation of Circuit Diagram Creation in Visio

About the role

Join Bosch as a working student and help automate the creation of circuit diagrams in Microsoft Visio. You will support the engineering team by developing scripts and tools that streamline diagram generation and improve workflow efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the existing Visio stencil and symbol library and propose enhancements.
• Develop scripts and macros to automate circuit diagram generation.
• Create rule‑based methods for symbol positioning, component linking, and diagram structuring.
• Collaborate with engineers to capture technical requirements and ensure standardisation.
• Validate automatically generated diagrams against engineering guidelines.
• Document solutions, processes and user instructions.
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of the automation software.

Required profile

• Enrolled in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Automation Engineering or a comparable field.
• Basic knowledge of electronics.
• Confident use of MS Office.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages; Visio experience is a plus.
• Strong self‑organisation, analytical skills and clear communication.
• Very good English and German language skills.
