Head of Marketplace – Lead Germany e‑commerce platform

About the role

Quest Search & Selection is seeking a Head of Marketplace to own and grow its German e‑commerce marketplace. You will be fully accountable for P&L performance, strategy execution, and market success within a fast‑moving scale‑up environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the Germany Marketplace strategy using data‑driven insights.
• Own the German Marketplace P&L, meeting revenue, margin and free cash‑flow targets.
• Improve core metrics such as product selection, price competitiveness, seller quality and availability.
• Lead, develop and inspire a cross‑functional team, establishing high standards for hiring and performance.
• Set up regular business reviews to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to influence product roadmaps, secure resources and remove growth barriers.

Required profile

• Leadership experience in a marketplace, 3PL or e‑commerce business, preferably with country‑level P&L responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of the European marketplace landscape and seller ecosystem.
• Highly analytical with the ability to translate complex data into actionable decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management in a matrix environment.
• Proven track record in building long‑term B2B relationships and cross‑border partnerships.
• Fluent in English and German (minimum B2 level).
