Legal Counsel DACH (m/f/d)

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel (m/f/d) to join our in‑house legal team in Düsseldorf. The role will support business units, expert departments and management on a wide range of legal matters, focusing on contract, construction and digital/IT law.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent legal advice to business units, expert departments and senior management, especially on contract, construction and software/IP issues.
• Propose practical solutions to minimise legal risk and drive process improvements.
• Conduct internal training sessions for employees on legal topics.
• Coordinate and accompany disputes and court proceedings together with external counsel.
• Collaborate with the European and global legal teams and other functions on strategic initiatives, transformation projects and cross‑regional matters.

Required profile

• Qualified German lawyer (completed 1st and 2nd state examinations); additional foreign studies such as an LL.M. are a plus.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a multinational industrial environment.
• Generalist legal background with strong business acumen and understanding of project, matrix and process structures.
• Fluent English; additional language skills are advantageous.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of German contract law and construction law.
• Experience with commercial contract and claim management.
• Familiarity with digitalisation, software and IP law.
• Ability to work as a business partner and deliver pragmatic, business‑oriented solutions.
