Senior Compliance Manager Data Protection (m/f/d)

About the role

The Senior Compliance Manager Data Protection will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of data protection governance for BASF Agricultural Solutions. Reporting to the global compliance function, you will ensure that data privacy risks are identified, assessed and mitigated across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a data protection governance model, including responsibilities, decision‑making processes, standards and documentation.
• Conduct data protection risk assessments, control testing, monitoring and thematic reviews.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and maturity of existing data protection measures and propose improvements.
• Provide independent oversight and advisory support, consolidating risks, incidents and remediation actions.
• Prepare clear reports on material risks, developments and outstanding actions for senior management.
• Coordinate joint activities with internal audit, risk, control, information security and the Group Data Protection Officer.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in data protection, privacy compliance or related regulatory fields.
• Strong understanding of GDPR and other relevant data privacy regulations.
• Proven ability to work in a global, matrix‑structured environment.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
