Senior Product Designer (German & English speaking)

About the role

As a Senior Product Designer you will shape the user experience of RIB’s construction software portfolio, working closely with the Head of UX in Berlin. The role combines hands‑on user research, Lean UX, design‑system work and mobile app design for iOS and Android to help the construction industry become more efficient and digital.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end design process for an assigned product line across web and mobile, from research and ideation to prototyping, testing and implementation.
• Maintain and expand the design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across SaaS platforms and mobile apps.
• Conduct regular user research – interviews, surveys, contextual inquiries and on‑site or remote observations – and translate findings into actionable design recommendations.
• Plan and run usability testing sessions, creating interactive prototypes and gathering quantitative and qualitative feedback.
• Analyse event‑tracking and product‑analytics data (Fullstory, UserPilot) to identify pain points and optimise user flows.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers and other stakeholders to align design decisions with business goals.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional product design experience with a strong portfolio covering web and mobile.
• Proven expertise in Lean UX and Agile development processes.
• Hands‑on experience planning and conducting user research as an integral part of the design cycle.
• Fluent in German (C1) and English (C1) for customer interviews and research.
• Motivated by digital transformation in the construction industry.
