Senior Software Engineer (Typescript / FrontEnd) - AI/ML

About the role

The AI/ML Engineering team at ClickHouse builds end‑to‑end AI and machine‑learning products, including the Agentic Data Stack, AI Functions, chDB, and the in‑Console copilot. We are looking for a senior software engineer to design, develop, and operate AI‑powered features that make ClickHouse the platform of choice for agents and data scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AI‑driven features across the full stack, from backend inference services to frontend interfaces.
• Create robust, scalable APIs that connect ClickHouse’s database capabilities with modern AI/ML inference systems.
• Integrate and maintain connections with the broader AI/ML ecosystem and standards.
• Deploy models into production with monitoring, versioning, observability, and evaluation.
• Participate in daytime on‑call rotation for the team.
• Build responsive, intuitive UI/UX that makes complex AI functionality accessible.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
• Hands‑on experience with AI/ML technologies.
• Backend development expertise in TypeScript or Python, focusing on API design and service architecture.
• Strong sense of ownership, driving features from concept to production with minimal supervision.
• Effective collaboration and communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient frontend development using TypeScript/JavaScript and React.
