Area Manager – Fashion & Footwear Retail (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead a portfolio of fashion and footwear stores across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. You will drive commercial performance, develop high‑performing store teams and ensure brand standards are consistently delivered.

Key responsibilities

• Own commercial performance of multiple stores, targeting sales, profit, conversion and average transaction value.
• Analyse sales reports, market trends and performance data to identify growth opportunities.
• Coach and develop Store Managers, building high‑performing teams.
• Ensure exceptional customer service standards across all locations.
• Champion visual merchandising excellence in line with seasonal collections and brand guidelines.
• Lead talent development, succession planning and recruitment for the region.
• Conduct regular store visits, performance reviews and business planning meetings.
• Maintain operational compliance, including health & safety, cash management and loss prevention.

Required profile

• Proven track record in fashion, footwear or premium retail environments.
• Experience managing multiple stores across different locations.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to interpret data and act on insights.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and people development capabilities.
• Passion for fashion and footwear and understanding of customer expectations.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the assigned region.
