Compliance Legal Counsel – Data & AI Compliance

About the role

Adsquare is seeking a full‑time Compliance Legal Counsel to lead its Data & AI Compliance Programme. You will work closely with the Head of Legal & Compliance to ensure the company’s global products meet GDPR, the EU AI Act, US privacy laws and other emerging regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute regular audits of data suppliers and partners, reviewing collection practices and consent management.
• Support internal teams to embed privacy by design, keep records, ROPAs, DPIAs and internal policies up to date.
• Develop and deliver privacy training across the organisation to raise compliance awareness.
• Manage end‑to‑end data subject request processes.
• Maintain and audit the compliance infrastructure, acting as a bridge between regulatory requirements and daily operations.

Required profile

• Passed the first state law examination (or equivalent from a civil‑law system).
• At least three years of continuous experience in data protection, preferably in technology or advertising.
• Hold a recognised GDPR certification (e.g., CIPP/E) – mandatory.
• Proven hands‑on experience drafting ROPAs, DPIAs and conducting audits.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
