Legal Counsel – Central Europe

About the role

Qonto is looking for a Legal Counsel to provide day‑to‑day legal support across its fast‑growing Central European markets – the Netherlands, Germany and Austria – with a primary focus on the Dutch market. You will work closely with local teams and senior legal experts to de‑risk operations, enable market growth and support strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main legal point of contact for the Netherlands, delivering timely, high‑quality advice to local teams.
• Partner with the Senior Legal Expert to support German and Austrian markets on strategic legal matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts while ensuring compliance of new local products.
• Provide clear legal analyses for future developments and unblock business initiatives safely.
• Manage pre‑litigation and litigation matters to protect Qonto’s interests.
• Handle corporate formalities and local disputes.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in commercial, product and dispute law.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while collaborating with senior peers.
• Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Dutch, German or French is a plus.
• Experience working in fast‑growing, cross‑functional environments.
