Consumer & Market Insights Manager

About the role

StepStone Group is looking for a Consumer & Market Insights Manager to turn data into actionable business impact. You will combine customer understanding, labor‑market research, and product intelligence to shape product positioning, go‑to‑market strategies, and sales effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Transform customer and market insights into thought‑leadership content and demand‑generating formats.
• Analyze labor‑market, product, and competitive data to spot trends and differentiation opportunities.
• Translate insights into clear recommendations for product development and go‑to‑market decisions.
• Build data‑driven narratives around value proposition, ideal customer profiles, and positioning.
• Provide proof points for campaigns, product launches, and messaging.
• Create sales‑ready insights, pitch materials, and benchmarks to boost product adoption and conversion.
• Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks for stakeholders.
• Ensure insights are accessible, actionable, and widely adopted across teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Communications, Statistics or a comparable field.
• Experience in product marketing, consumer insights, commercial strategy or lifecycle marketing with strong quantitative research skills.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven ability to translate customer needs and market trends into product positioning and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Hands‑on experience with Qualtrics or similar survey tools.
• Interest in AI tools and practical experience with at least one LLM‑based assistant (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini).
