Data Scientist (Python & SQL) – Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

Mindrift is looking for experienced data‑science specialists to design and deliver project‑based AI training tasks for leading tech companies. You will create realistic, end‑to‑end data‑science problems that simulate real‑world analytical workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational data‑science problems across sectors such as telecom, finance, e‑commerce, healthcare, and government.
• Develop Python‑based challenges using Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit‑learn, Statsmodels, Matplotlib and Seaborn.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive, deterministic, and reproducible (fixed random seeds).
• Base scenarios on real business cases like customer analytics, risk assessment, fraud detection, forecasting, and optimization.
• Cover the full data‑science pipeline: ingestion, cleaning, EDA, modeling, validation, and deployment considerations.
• Incorporate big‑data processing and scalable approaches where needed.
• Verify solutions with standard data‑science libraries and document problem statements with clear business context.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on data‑science experience with measurable business impact.
• Portfolio of completed projects or publications demonstrating real‑world problem solving.
• Strong written English (C1+).

Required skills

• Expert Python programming for data science (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit‑learn, Statsmodels, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
• Advanced statistical analysis and machine‑learning expertise.
• Proficient SQL and database manipulation.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies (LLMs, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, prompt engineering, vector databases).
• Understanding of MLOps practices and model deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with modern frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and LangChain.
