Electrician/Technician for Medium Voltage Laboratory

About the role

We are looking for an Electrician/Technician to join our Medium Voltage Laboratory in Freiburg. You will support the development and testing of power‑electronics solutions for sustainable energy storage and vehicle charging.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑voltage tests and insulation measurements.
• Operate and calibrate measuring equipment such as Megger, oscilloscopes and voltage generators.
• Prepare and execute laboratory tests together with the engineering team.
• Document test results and compile detailed reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards (DIN VDE, IEC).
• Support the creation of new testing procedures.
• Maintain, service and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

Required profile

• Completed apprenticeship as an electronics technician for industrial engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Practical experience in medium‑voltage technology or electrical laboratories.
• Solid knowledge of electrical engineering, measurement technology and safety regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience with NPI of power‑electronic products or mass production is a plus.
• Medium‑voltage switching authorization (Schaltberechtigung Mittelspannung) is highly advantageous.
