Freelance Data Center Technician (m/f/d)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced freelance Data Center Technician to join our on‑site team for a project‑based assignment. You will work directly in a data‑center environment, handling installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Perform rack‑and‑stack activities, including installation and cabling of servers and network equipment.
• Install, route and test copper and fiber‑optic data and network cabling.
• Conduct hardware and network fault analysis, troubleshooting and break/fix tasks.
• Execute hardware replacement and repair for servers, switches and related components.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks within the data centre.
• Document all work performed and any system changes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Center Technician or in a comparable IT/technical role.
• Strong knowledge of cabling, networking and hardware support.
• Hands‑on experience with troubleshooting and break/fix activities.
• Good understanding of data‑center infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently and reliably.
• Fluent English communication skills.
