Hardware Assembly Technician – Production & Shipping

About the role

We are looking for a Hardware Assembly Technician to join our production and shipping team in Nuremberg. The role involves installing, configuring, assembling and testing our SITE System devices before they are shipped to customers worldwide. You will ensure that every product meets our quality standards and is ready for deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, assemble and test SITE System hardware according to production guidelines.
• Develop and improve assembly and testing procedures to enhance product quality.
• Monitor device functionality, document issues and perform corrective actions.
• Repair, refurbish and upgrade returned systems, including re‑installation and inspection.
• Analyse hardware and software errors and implement fixes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product manuals, concepts and documentation.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration or IT system electronics technician.
• Strong affinity for working with both hardware and software.
• Ability to work independently, with a structured and results‑oriented approach.
• Attention to detail and good fine motor skills.
• Good command of German and English.

Required skills

• Linux operating system knowledge.
• Understanding of operating systems, drivers and firmware.
• Hardware assembly and product testing.
• PC and server configuration experience (advantageous).
• Error analysis and hardware troubleshooting.
