Head of Supply Chain (Interim)

About the role

The company is a chemical/API manufacturer in Germany seeking an interim Head of Supply Chain for a 12‑month period. This hands‑on role focuses on stabilising and enhancing day‑to‑day supply‑chain performance across multiple sites while supporting critical operational improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily supply‑chain operations covering logistics, warehousing and production planning.
• Drive operational improvements and support ERP/IT system implementations.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, site leadership and logistics teams to increase supply visibility.
• Improve inventory control, reduce lead times and optimise logistics performance.
• Provide on‑site support for warehouse activities and ensure a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Identify and implement process improvements across the broader supply‑chain function.

Required profile

• Fluent in German.
• Extensive supply‑chain experience in chemicals, API or similar manufacturing settings.
• Hands‑on, operational mindset with the ability to work closely with site teams.
• Proven experience with ERP system implementations.
• Strong understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
• Comfortable working on‑site in a fast‑moving environment.
